Greggs has done it again, saving this shambles of a year.
Throughout lockdown Greggs revealed recipes for their much-loved bakes, including Bean & Cheese Melts and Steak Beaks and let’s be honest, it kept us all going.
Now they’ve gone one step further and announced news of the festive menu!
Greggs not only pointed out that it was pretty much down to them to save 2020, but that it was up to the Festive Bake.
They added a countdown too so you can get really excited, and it’s now 78 days – even closer! This would mean the bakes are being released on Thursday, November 5th, aka Bonfire Night, and a whole two days earlier than last year’s release.
Somebody point out ‘It’s August’ to which Greggs responded: “Just 219 sleeps until Christmas!!”.
One user wrote ‘stuff the festive bake, the only thing that can save 2020 is your sweet mince pies’. I couldn’t agree more, mince pies are the only thing that saves any year.
Things got a bit awkward when Andy_Of_Glasgow told Greggs where to shove it in a tweet that said: “Save 2020 with a freezing cold festive bake. 2 words @GreggsOfficial the 2nd is off, you have a few to pick from for the first”. He finished the Tweet off with #bringbackwarmfood.
Gregg’s simply replied with ‘ouch’.
