Morrisons and Asda are now selling flour bagged directly from their in-store bakeries to help ease the demand for it.

To boost up stocks of flour for the country – as everyone is now officially baking during lockdown – Morrisons has turned to bagging flour packed from its own bakeries.

The home baking trend left our shelves pretty empty of flour, and Morrisons responded by packing its own baking flour into 1kg and 16kg bags for avid bakers.

Customers can now grab a 1kg bag of white bread flour, wholemeal bread flour, plain flour and self-raising for just 60p.

You can also grab 16kg bags of white bread flour, plain flour or self-raising flour for £9.

If you are going all out on your baking, you can also grab 50g of bakery yeast for just 20p.

Asda is also offering 1kg bags of flour for just 60p too.

All you have to do is head in-store, it’ll be available at the bakery section.

Morrisons’ bakery buying manager, Andy Clarke, said: “Listening to customers, we know baking is important right now to keep the family busy and entertain kids during the lockdown.

“It felt like a no brainer to give customers the ingredients they need to bake at home during this very difficult time.”

Morrisons flour bags are available in 450 Morrison’s in-store bakeries.
