Great news!

Admiral has announced that each of its 4.4 million customers will be given an automatic £25 refund per vehicle as a thank you for people staying at home.

There are fewer cars and vans on the roads throughout the lockdown which has meant Admiral has seen a significant reduction in the number of claims coming in.

The insurance company has chosen to give this money back to their loyal customers to help them during this difficult time.

This will mean £25 for every car and van that the firm has covered, which equates to 4.4 million vehicles and £110m being returned to customers from the group.

The refund process is a part of a wider response to the virus from the UK’s biggest car insurer.

As well as the £110m to their customers, they have also made policy changes, including waiving excess fees for NHS and emergency service workers to make life easier in the event of an accident.

They’ve also sent out £4m to offer support and funding throughout south Wales, the home to the company for the past 27 years.

The insurance giant has also promised a further £80m to help reduce prices and renewal quotes, in particular for young drivers.

Admiral is the first UK insurance company to offer a refund but is joined by AXA, AA and Aviva who are all offering payment holidays.
