Many countries across the world have closed their borders to Brits due to the high levels of Coronavirus in the UK.

As the lockdown is eased across the country many people are beginning to dream about their summer holidays, many of which have already been cancelled or rearranged.

Some popular tourist destinations have started to relax their lockdown rules and beaches have started to fill up again.

Many countries regularly visited by Brits such as Spain and Greece have banned holidaymakers from the UK from visiting due to the coronavirus death rate over here.

Greece has released a list of 29 countries it will accept tourists from when the country reopen its borders this month. Although that list includes many countries such as Australia, Japan, China and South Korea, the United Kingdom remains off it.

The Greek tourism minister, Haris Theoharis, said: “I think that the UK has a big difference in terms of the current medical status of the country with Greece, so I don’t think it’s likely it will be there.”

Many Brits may have been looking forward to heading to Spain, however people from the UK will not be allowed in the country until the UK has an ‘acceptable’ level of COVID-19.

There are many areas where the borders are fully closed including; Australia, Denmark, India, New Zealand, Norway and many more.
