Steps have confirmed they will be releasing a brand new album, very soon, complete with a full UK tour.

The band, comprising of Lisa-Scott Lee, Lee Evans, Claire Richards, Faye Tozer and Ian ‘H’ Watkins, announced on Twitter that they couldn’t keep the news a secret any longer.

The best news is we won’t have long to wait!

The new album drops on November 27th and is called What The Future Holds – and you can even get it pre-ordered now.

The tweet from the band – posted yesterday, Monday September 7th – said: “We couldn’t keep it a secret any longer!! Our new album What The Future Holds arrives on November 27th, and it’s available to pre-order from 8am tomorrow!”

Taking to Instagram, Claire Richards also shared the news. She wrote: “It’s been a long time coming but we are so proud to present the next chapter to the Steps story.”

The band revealed that pop star Sia penned their first track. When talking to The Sun, Claire said: “She wrote the track for herself but realised it wasn’t really for her and gave it to us.

“It’s not like it was in the bottom of a drawer somewhere. It was her who said, ‘We should give this to Steps because it would really suit them’.”

The band will also be heading out on a UK tour next year with a date in Manchester at the newly renamed AO Arena – the tour kicks off in November in Sheffield.

They will travel to Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Aberdeen, Belfast, Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow, Brighton, London, Cardiff and Bournemouth in December.

If you want to make sure you get your hands on some tickets, pre-order the album and you will be automatically signed up for pre-sale ticket access on September 15th.

Tickets go on general sale on September 18th at 10am.
