Good news – next week will see 25 degree heat and the sunshine back in British skies!

May, when much of the population were stuck inside on lockdown and working from home, was the hottest month of the year so far, and many people missed out.

As we entered June and the lockdown was eased, the heavens opened and it got a heck of a lot colder again! Just our luck eh?!

Well, after a rainy and cold spell this week, high temperatures and the sun are set to hit the UK again, bringing with it blue skies and plenty of sunshine.

But first, this week will see thundery showers and winds of up to 40mph. According to BBC weather forecaster Ben Rich, the UK will see temperatures as low as 12C this week before the sun returns.

Rain is expected to fall later in the week, but according to forecasters high temperatures are ‘bulging towards us’, which means this week will have a humid end with some bright sun among the downpours.

By the end of the week it should be drier in most areas of the UK, and by the coming weekend the weather should be settled.

According to Meteo Group and AccuWeather forecasters, temperatures are set to return to the mid-20s next week, and while London is set to see the best of it with temperatures of 25C at the start of next week, Manchester is forecast highs of 21-22C.

Fingers crossed…
