Could this be the most middle-aisle product ever?

Aldi, the undisputed king of random purchases, has pulled out all the stops with its new two-seater egg chair.

This comes just weeks after the budget supermarket sent customers into a frenzy with its original egg chair.

Their Hanging Egg Chair, priced at a very reasonable £149, flew off the shelves when it was released earlier this year, and was just as popular when it was released again a couple of months later.

Aldi then took things one step further by releasing a cat version of the chair – as part of their new Eco Pet range, the cat egg chair was made from hand-woven natural wicker and was hung from a strong metal frame.

It was, as you can imagine, too cute for words.

But now, as their shelves remain bare of human sized hanging egg chairs, they have made a come back with not a single-seater egg chair, but a double-seater egg chair.

Aside from the larger seating design, the chair is virtually the same as the single seater version with a stylish rattan design, deep grey cushions and a sturdy frame. It also comes with a three-year warranty, which is always handy. It’s also suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

The website’s description reads: “This amazing Large Hanging Egg Chair is the ideal way to relax in stylish comfort this summer. Perfect for the patio or conservatory, this comfortable rattan effect hanging chair will be your seat of choice.

“Simply swing up your legs and make the most of that comfortable space! Pour yourself an ice-cold drink, grab a summer read and enjoy those long summer days and lighter evenings. This chair can take a maximum weight of 180kg.”

However, it won’t be available in stores at Aldi, so you’ll need to head over to the website to snap one up.

The chair is a little more expensive than the smaller version, with it being priced at £249.99.

It will be available to buy here on Sunday, July 4th.
