We’ve all heard the phrase ‘as useful as a chocolate teapot’ used to describe something that is, well, not useful in the slightest. This year PG Tips has decided to launch its very own chocolate teapot, which, while it won’t function efficiently as something to contain tea, does look delicious. The popular tea company is selling the limited edition chocolate teapot in time for Easter, marking its first foray into the world of confectionery. We all love a brew round here, and we also love a bit of chocolate, so what better way to combine the two into the ultimate Mancunian gift?

PG Tips said: “With over 80 million Easter eggs sold in the UK each year, PG Tips has launched the new product to give Brits a to-tea-lly new way to enjoy the annual celebration, avoiding the egg-ja-vu that comes from receiving the same old egg-shaped chocolate each year.”
According to research from PG Tips, nearly half the nation enjoys seven brews a day – although in Manchester those are amateur numbers.
The chocolate teapot is made from the finest artisanal milk chocolate, and comes in a biodegradable branded box, accompanied by 40 PG Tips tea bags to keep you going while you tuck in.

Charlotte Ridley, Senior Brand Manager at PG tips, added: “We know that Britain is a nation of tea-lovers and we wanted to give them something to get excited about this Easter.
“Our new chocolate teapot is the perfect alternative for those suffering with Easter egg fatigue-because Easter eggs aren’t all they’re cracked up to be!” If you want to get your hands on one of the teapots, they are currently available to pre-order on the PG tips website – they’ll set you back £10.
You best be quick, as they’re likely to sell out fast!
