Ikea launches huge sale today with up to 50% off

Public Service Announcement: IKEA is launching a huge sale across all its products today.

The Swedish homeware giant announced last week that its sale will be starting today, June 7th, and will run for six weeks until July 18th.

Keen flat-packers will be able to shop the sale both in-store and online to get up to 50% off products from furniture and lighting to bathroom, bedding, curtains and kitchenware.

Though if you’re shopping the sale online, you might want to factor in the extra delivery charges that may be added on top of your bill – these can range between £4 and £40 depending on how big your order is.

IKEA said there are hundreds of reduced items across the range including sofas and armchairs this year, as well as a whole array of home furnishing accessories like tableware and ornaments.

Most IKEA items are already listed at low prices, so the store will only run a few sale events each year – one will usually happen in the summer and another will happen in the winter.

Now, this sale is pretty spectacular because, in previous years, discounts of up to 40% off have only been offered and, initially, they would only last for a month.

The next big sale Ikea will launch will probably be at the beginning of December, as last year’s winter reductions happened around that time too.

So, get your DIY tools and your bank cards at the ready, because this is literally a once in a lifetime opportunity… Kind of.
