As Christmas is fast approaching some people will have their presents wrapped already, but if you haven’t you’re in luck, as you can use this genius hack to easily get the job done.

Getting down on the floor to get those presents wrapped can wreak havoc with our backs – anyone too young to experience this, you’ll understand one day – so any techniques which bypasses this painful part of Christmas are much welcome.

Which is exactly what a number of mums have shared on social media, with a genius trick for getting all your presents wrapped without the backache – and all you need is an ironing board.

Nicola Lewis is a blogger known as @thisgirlcanorganise over on Instagram, and she shared the hack on her socials, saying that she discovered it after watching Izzi and Ellie Warner on Gogglebox use the trick.

Nicola posted saying: “I saw this hack on gogglebox last week and it’s totally blown me away! @ellie__warner showed us her fab wrapping skills using an ironing board whilst sitting on the sofa!

“Such a genius idea, my ironing board will be pleased it’s finally being used! No stretching or getting back ache whilst wrapping presents anymore. The only stretching I need to worry about is reaching for the margarita glass.”

Another mum on the Family Lockdown Tips and Ideas Facebook page, Lynsey, wrote: “Thought I’d share my way of avoiding sitting on the floor with back ache, sore legs and pins and needles whilst wrapping presents…”

People on social media were quick to praise the hack, with one saying: “Never thought to do this u have just saved my back hun will be doing this tonight !!! Merry Xmas”.

Another added: “I did this yesterday, quickest and best gift wrap ever. And no back ache after genius.”

I’m definitely trying this later…
