Christmas is a time to spoil your friends and family, but one mum has divided opinion with the vast yearly present haul she gets for her kids.

Emma Tapping buys hundreds of gifts for her family, and has previously admitted spending a whopping £1.5k on her children.

She’s back again this year, sharing a video of 2019’s present pile, and the footage hasn’t gone down well with some people.

Back in 2016 Emma appeared on This Morning to defend her spending, saying: “I work hard for my money. I start in January, shop all the way through the year, and that’s the pile at the end of the year. I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

Then in 2017, a photo of the 39-year-old’s presents went viral again, as they were stacked so high they almost reached the top of her Christmas tree.

Even though she’s received some negative feedback, it hasn’t stopped her from carrying on the tradition, and this year she shared a video of the presents on Instagram, with Wham!’s classic festive hit Last Christmas playing in the background.

Emma wrote in the caption: “I’ve managed to make another #magical #christmas for my family. Lots of planning. Lots of sales and deals. Roll on the big day.”

Opinion was split, with one person simply commenting: “Be less materialistic.” (She responded underneath with ‘Be less judgmental.’

Another added: “Are they decent gifts, though? Because the article I read said the only things your kids hadn’t used one year was a popcorn maker and a notepad, but a notepad is a sh*t gift so are you buying them actual presents or naff fillers just so it all looks more impressive than it is?”

It wasn’t all negative, however, with one follower saying: “I think if you can afford to why the hell not? I don’t understand why people feel the need to put negative comments about things like this, it’s not like you’re asking them for the money to pay for it. I love seeing posts Like this tbh. Why anyone should try and make people feel guilty for being able to spoil their kids at Christmas is beyond me. Merry Christmas to you & your Family”.

Another person agreed: “Love it ! Who cares how much you spend on how many presents , spoil your kids and don’t give two hoots what anyone says ! Have a great christmas”.

Fair play. It must take pretty much the whole day to unwrap all of those presents though…
