Yesterday it was confirmed which regions in England would be going into which tier when lockdown ends next week, with Greater Manchester facing the strictest restrictions, Tier 3.
The confirmation brought bad news for most of the North West, as well as large parts of Northern England, as they were also plunged into the tightest restrictions come December 2nd.
Phillip Schofield pleaded with This Morning viewers to support local businesses as large parts of the country are put into Tier 3.

Making a passionate plea on the morning show, Phil hit out at the health secretary Matt Hancock after delaying his announcement.
Phillip and co-host Holly Willoughby, as well as guests Vanessa Feltz and Nick Ferrari, reacted to the news on the show.
Nick said: “People who own pubs in the likes of Redcar, Hartlepool. my heart goes out to them.
“I hope they’re there come 2021.”
Adding to Nick’s concerns, Phillip said while looking directly down the lens: “If you have a pub or restaurant that you know is down the road and they’re doing takeouts in Tier 3, make sure, that if you want them at the end of the road by the end of all this, that it’s them that you’re going to for takeouts if they’ve set it up, rather than the big usual ones you might get your Saturday night takeaway from.
