In the famous words of Ian Brown: “Manchester has everything… Except a beach.”

As you will all be well aware, thanks to ongoing Covid-19 precautions, the majority of us are having to make do with our homes here in Greater Manchester for the summer months.

And, while the region admittedly has some great staycation options available, it isn’t exactly famous for it’s abundance of beaches and coastal beauty – something that is very much desired for a good summer holiday.

But later this month, that is all set to change.

Come to the Beach‘ will be landing at Heaton Park where, for six glorious weeks, families and friends can enjoy a huge fun fair and an authentic, real-to-life beach (the ocean doesn’t come included, sadly.)

A whole array of exciting things will be on offer – families and groups of friends will be able to hire their own private beach pods, and those with younger children can have fun in the designated ‘Kidszone’, where rides and activities specifically for youngsters will be found.

For the older kids, the funfair, hosted by Carousel Funfairs, will boast a whole array of rides and activities perfect for thrill seekers – there will also be cocktail stalls for the adults, too, as well as a wide selection of food vendors from all over the world.

The event kicks off next week on July 10th, where it will be open daily from 12pm. The event will be closed 12th-16th and 19th-23rd.

Wristbands for the Tuesday and Wednesday events can be bought for £9.99, and include unlimited rides during two sessions, 12pm-2:30pm and 3pm-5:30pm.

The Super Saver Family Deal is priced at £25 (plus booking fee) and includes twenty-five tokens to spend within the park, so that’ll probably be your best option.
