A new image of the spa and wellness resort coming to Trafford have now been released, and it looks huge!

Work on Therme Manchester is still on-going, and despite coronavirus it is on-track for a 2023 opening.

The huge £250m resort will have family-friendly wave pools, water slides and a relaxation area.

Plus there’s set to be a huge urban oasis dedicated strictly to adults only, with swim-up bars, warm water lagoons, botanical gardens and therapeutic mineral pools.

The resort will also have water-based fitness classes including yoga and pilates. And for the perfect relaxation there will be steam rooms and saunas.

The resort will be the first of its kind in the UK, while similar popular resorts in Europe such as the Bucharest resort welcome 1.3 million visitors a year.

The owners of the resort say guests will breathe the ‘freshest’ air and swim in the ‘cleanest’ water possible, due to state-of-the-art filtration systems that will purify the environment.

It’s set to be one of many across the UK, with Therme Group confirming plans of similar well-being resorts in Wales, London and Scotland, as well as North America and Asia Pacific.

The UK development is set to create around 3,000 jobs.

Chief development officer of Therme Group UK, Richard Land, said: “Therme Group is based on a belief that wellbeing should be accessible for all.

“The events of 2020 have shone a light on the necessity of this mission, especially for those in cities.

“Therme Manchester will redefine city wellbeing, enhancing mental and physical health through an experience based in water and nature.

“Therme Manchester will offer a unique holiday at home, that acts as a catalyst for healthy lifestyles.”

Work is set to begin in 2021 and to be finished by 2023! Do you think Manchester needs a huge new water park, let us know…
