As Manchester looks to welcome in a new decade, The Refuge will usher 2020 in with style.

Their notorious New Year’s Eve extravaganza on December 31st will welcome back the city’s longest standing nightclubbing institution and very special guests, Funkademia.

After the roaring success of its sell out New Year’s Eve in 2018, The Refuge will see the return of their all-inclusive party where everyone is welcome.

Funkademia and other local talents will provide the soundtrack for the final hurrah of 2019, long into the dawn of 2020.

New Year’s Eve will be celebrated in true Refuge style, with its ethos of “Come As You Are”, and the countdown to 2020 will be hosted by one of Funkademia’s longest standing resident music selectors Les Croasdaile alongside one third of the whole Funkademia operation, Jamie Scahill.

Peek-A-Groove’s resident & founder Andy Shake’N’Fingerpop will be warming things up for the guys in the public bar with his choice funk infused party bombs!

On NYE, ‘Love Is The Message’ in The Public Bar and will be a full Funkademia takeover featuring residents throwing a funk-soul-disco-classics style house party from 8pm until 3am.

Meanwhile “Move Ya Body” down in The Basement is set for a non-stop exotic discotheque with a genre jumping soundtrack courtesy of some specially selected Refuge residents & regulars. Featuring Chris Massey, Reeshy and Kirby blowing the roof off into the early hours of the morning.
